Abstract
Criticism on the nationalistic tendencies of Israeli archaeologists is analyzed and classifted into three types : ethical, political and ideological. Based on the experience of the writer, it is suggested that ideological subjectivity in archaeological work is inescapable, and that it does not necessarily detract from the value of the work.
